This 140 mm Bunka combines compact proportions with a bold, distinctive profile, offering precision and versatility for everyday kitchen tasks.
The blade is forged from in-house made Damascus, combining O2 carbon steel and nickel around an Apex Ultra core hardened to approximately 65 HRC. The contrasting layers create a distinctive Damascus pattern, highlighting the craftsmanship behind the steel.
A convex grind provides smooth, efficient cutting performance, while the 51 mm heel height offers generous knuckle clearance. With a weight of 167 grams, the knife has a substantial feel despite its compact 140 mm blade.
The handle combines beautifully figured stabilized rosewood burl with ringed gidgee. The rich natural patterns and warm tones of both woods create an elegant, distinctive finish that complements the character of the blade.
